Ruth A. Elson (nee Sheller) age 83 of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away on September 5, 2026.  Beloved wife to the late Michael Sr. (d.2019).  Loving mother to Michael (Eden) Elson Jr.; step sons Erik (Teresa) Wood and Shaun Wood.   Beautiful grandmother to Anya Elson, Ben Pitlik, Noah Pitlik, Alexis Wood and the late Drake Wood. Cherished sister to Alice Sheller, and Mary Kevoian. Preceded in death by her siblings Irene Gray, John T., James, Walter, David Sheller and her parents John and Alice (nee Trischler) Sheller.

Visitation Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.  at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Road), Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Ralph David Albrecht age 92 of Kankakee, Illinois formerly a longtime resident of Monee, Illinois passed away on August 31, 2026.  Beloved husband to the late Rosann (d.2020); loving father to Nelson (Cheryl) Albrecht and Brian (Shobana) Albrecht.  Cherished grandfather to Kelly (Michael) Chernick, Julia Albrecht, Nick Albrecht, Vikram (Molly Senzig) Albrecht, Lali Albrecht and Kamala Albrecht.  Preceded in death by grandson, Joe Albrecht.  Dave served proudly in the U.S. Army for 21 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 2. His overseas duties included tours in Germany, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, and Thailand.

A lifelong music devotee, in retirement Dave belonged to the Barbershop Harmony Society.  He also served as President of the Golf Vista homeowners association in Monee, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that gifts be made to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Donald L. Wegrzyn age 87 of Apache Junction, Arizona formally a longtime resident of Chicago Heights, Illinois prior to 28 years resident of Apache Junction, Arizona.  He attended St.  Anne Grade School and Bloom Township High School prior to Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois graduating with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering.  Employed by Columbia Tool Steel Company in various technical positions for 30 years, and then 7 years at Inland Steel, East Chicago, Indiana as a Sr. Staff Metallurgist, retired in 1996 and moved to Apache Junction, AZ.

Son of the late Louis P. Wegrzyn and late Louise W. (nee Maier) Wegrzyn.  Beloved brother to the late James (late Helen) and the late Mary Louise (Frank) Angone.  Cherished uncle to Ken (Kathy) Wegrzyn, Bob (Mary) Wegrzyn, Luanne (Christopher) Watson, Karen (Naoanmasek) Wegrzyn, Kevin (Michelle) Angone, Jason (Victoria) Angone, and the late Bryan Angone, Mike Wegrzyn and Mary Jucius.

Family and friends will meet in the vestibule of St. Liborius Church, 71West 25th Street, Steger, Illinois for a one hour visitation on Saturday, September 12th from 10AM until the time of funeral mass at 11AM at St Liborius Church, 35th and Halsted, Steger, Illinois. Interment: Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, Illinois.

Carolyn F. Riegel, age 83 of Crete, IL, formerly of Beecher, passed away on September 1, 2026.

Loving mother of Lori (Grant) Hult of Wheatfield, IN and Debby (Mike) Lexow of Manhattan, IL. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Amanda) Lexow, Carlie (fiancé James Coros) Hult, Katie Hult and Samantha (fiancé Zach Broadhurst) Lexow. Great grandmother of Calder Lexow. Sister to Eileen Gunska, and Ken (Carol) Bruns.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Leon H. Riegel, her parents Martin and Amanda Bruns, in-laws Harold and Leona (Siefker) Riegel and brother-in-law, Joseph Gunska.

Carolyn was born October 27, 1942, in Beecher IL. She was baptized on November 8, 1942, confirmed March 25, 1956, and married Leon on June 20, 1964, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Beecher, IL.

After marriage she became a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Crete, IL. Where she volunteered for a variety of duties over the years, including Alter Guild, Ladies Aid, Home and School, Girl Pioneer Leader and was on the Finance Board.

She loved going to the cottage on the lake and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.

Patrick Robert Danielewicz

Patrick Robert Danielewicz Sr., 53 of Grant Park, Illinois passed away on August 19, 2026.  He was born on August 28, 1972 to the late Patrica and Harold Danielewicz.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Sarah Danielewicz and their two children Colten and his wife Ana Danielewicz, of Austin, Texas and Dakota Danielewicz, 24 of Grant Park, Illinois; son Patrick Danielewicz Jr. 36 and his daughter Nova, 12 of Florida; brother and Joseph H. Danielewicz of Steger, Illinois.

Patrick dedicated 34 years of his life to the Ford Motor Company at the Chicago Assembly Plant before retiring.  His many years there are an important part of his life and a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Patrick was passionate about weightlifting and had a deep interest in World Affairs and history.  He enjoyed learning about the past, keeping up with what is happening around the world, and sharing his thoughts and knowledge with those close to him.

Life does not always follow the path we expect, and Patrick’s journey was uniquely his own.  He leaves behind a family who loved him, a lifetime of shared memories, and people whose lives will forever carry a piece of his story.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Harold Danielewicz.

Those who knew and loved Patrick will remember him in their own special way.   May he now find peace and rest.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles Hook.  Diana worked for Dr. Collin’s at Suburban Heights Medical and was a homemaker.  Diana for many years was a Dolly Parton impersonator for Hollywood Look A Likes.  Diana will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
